Jimmy Grima
Born in 1983 and raised in Malta, Jimmy Grima is the artistic director of Rubber-Bodies Collective and Director of Tinyislandstudio. He is inspired by nature, architecture, the spiritual world and the Mediterranean sea. Black and white, linear and curves are his addiction. His aim is to bring artists from different backgrounds, having different techniques and methodologies to collaborate together in creating stunning visual theatre performance projects. He was enrolled at the Dartington College of Arts following a degree in Contemporary Theatre and Digital Art in 2005.
When not working within the Collective Jimmy Grima spends his time with his drawings which are usually done with ink pens of 0.2mm to 0.5 mm thickness. Having a strong art background, the fusion of the rigidity that design requires and the freedom that art gives are combined to create a distinctive style which Jimmy Grima has developed over the past years.
