Cyril Sancereau is a French artist from Paris, based in Malta. His photographic and video work tries to document the impermanence of the landscape. Cyril focuses his attention on fragments of territory, where the transition and the ‘in-between’ are revealed. While creating his work in the footsteps of “artist walkers”, he nevertheless relishes the notions of wandering and loss of orientation. His lasts personal exhibitions were at the Malta Postal Museum (2018) and at Lazuli Art Gallery (2019) after being invited for an artist residence in Gozo. The video installation GWL « Gozo Winter Landscape » was exhibited in Paris for Nuit Blanche on October 5th, 2019 and wass also exhibited at The Five Points Center for the Visual Arts, Torrington, CT, USA October 31st.
